How This Resource Was Made

This resource was adapted from Still Aware’s validated and clinically approved Safer Pregnancy Pack and Safe Bubba Pack. For languages beside english, the content was first translated by qualified cultural advisors from the respective communities to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance. It was then independently verified through the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). Following translation, each resource underwent two to three community consultation sessions per language group, and was checked by a team at the Australian Migrant Resource Centre (AMRC). Feedback from these consultations informed revisions to ensure clarity, cultural appropriateness, and accessibility. The revised content was re-reviewed by accredited translators and presented to healthcare professionals within each cultural community to confirm that the original clinical evidence and safety messaging remained accurate and intact. Final approval was provided by cultural advisors. Where approval was not granted, revisions were made until the content met community expectations and standards. Design elements, including colour palettes, were approved in consultation with community representatives and with cultural advisors. Video content was created with community members and reviewed by cultural advisors to ensure cultural sensitivity and accuracy. This project was led by a culturally informed team and guided by community consultation at every stage. The process was designed to ensure clinical integrity, cultural respect, and meaningful engagement.
